Green Banana Flour. 

When you are aiming to control your blood sugar levels, there are certain foods that can set things off. Traditional grain flour, for example, can spike blood sugar. That’s why Let’s Do... Organic decided to focus on a flour alternative that wouldn’t present the same problem. Green banana flour is made from green bananas, which are young bananas yet to have ripened. This means the bananas have less sugar, making them a great ingredient in green banana flours, itself a useful alternative to traditional grain flours. There are a number of benefits that come along with using green banana flour. Outside of the way green bananas can assist with preventing blood sugar spikes, the flour is also packed with prebiotic fiber. Similar to probiotics, prebiotics are able to support the good bacteria normally found in the gut. Unlike probiotics, which help encourage the growth of new flora, prebiotics help to encourage the health of existing flora in the digestive tract. This can make ingesting foods made with green banana flour a bit easier on the stomach than other alternatives.

Instructions: When replacing grain flour in baking recipes, use 25% less green banana flour (example: if your recipe calls for 1 cup of wheat flour, replace with 3/4 cup of green banana flour). No extra eggs or liquid ingredients are needed.
