Jasmine trees first arrived in China from Persia during the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD) by way of the ancient Silk Road. The sweet fragrance of jasmine tea can only be created in the traditional way, involving nine stages of scenting to deeply infuse the tea leaves with the aroma of fresh jasmine petals.
